Enrollment at Record High as UA Continues to Grow with Quality
Enrollment at The University of Alabama reached a record 31,747 students this fall as the University continues to grow with quality.Total enrollment is up 5 percent, an increase of 1,515 students, over fall 2010, and includes 26,234 undergraduates and 5,513 graduate and first professional students.
UA Reaches Record 28,807 Students
With a record 28,807 students enrolled this fall, The University of Alabama continues to be the state’s largest university. Enrollment increased by 1,755 students or 6.5 percent over fall 2008, and this year’s freshman class once again increased in quality as well as size.

The University of Alabama continues to attract some of the nation’s most talented students, ranking 11th among the nation’s 629 public universities in the enrollment of National Merit Scholars for 2008-2009 and 28th among the more than 2,400 public and private universities nationwide. UA’s ranking is up from last year when the University ranked 12th among public universities and 30th overall.
