Namibian Craft Culture Exhibited at UA Gallery

An exhibit exploring Namibian craft culture through photographs, a documentary and physical objects collected during a University of Alabama student’s visit to the African country are on display Nov. 6-23 at the University Gallery in the Dinah Washington Cultural Arts Center in downtown Tuscaloosa.

Noted Cuban Poet Omar Perez to Visit UA

Omar Pérez, a highly accomplished Cuban poet, musician, artist and translator, visits The University of Alabama campus Oct. 20-24. The featured event is a poetry reading and musical exploration Tuesday, Oct. 21, at 7:30 p.m. at the Jemison Mansion in downtown Tuscaloosa.

UA’s Gorgas Library Offers Exhibit of Miniature Books

Gorgas Library on The University of Alabama campus will play host to the Miniature Book Society’s national traveling exhibit from Wednesday, Feb. 15, to Sunday, April 15.
