Melanie Miller, a staff member and administrator with a background in counseling and social work, has been named executive director of Crimson Care in the Division of Student Affairs at The University of Alabama.

Our Future.” campaign. Hocking moves to her new position from UA’s School of Social Work where she served as director of advancement.
The University of Alabama Action Card and director of the UA card program have been recognized recently with two national awards.
Aaron Vold has been appointed director of development for The University of Alabama’s College of Arts and Sciences. In this role, Vold will lead the College’s fund-raising efforts for the “Our Students. Our Future.” campaign and cultivate, solicit and steward gifts to the College. He held a similar position at UA’s Capstone College of Nursing, where he served as director of advancement.
The University of Alabama College of Engineering announced Dr. Kevin Whitaker, associate dean for academic programs, as the 2007 T. Morris Hackney Endowed Faculty Leadership Award recipient.
Tom Martz, vice president for advancement at UA, has been named president and chief executive officer of the Indiana University Alumni Association. He will begin his new duties April 1.
