Local UA Student has Co-op Job With Army Corps of Engineers

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- University of Alabama student Marci Jackson of Demopolis has recently worked at U.S. Army Corps of Engineers of Mobile in a cooperative education position.

Jackson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Jackson, is majoring in civil engineering at UA. She is a 1998 graduate of Demopolis High School.

UA’s Cooperative Education Program is an academic program in which students alternate periods of full-time study with periods of full-time employment. This program offers work related to the academic major or career interests of each student, greatly enhancing the student’s employment prospects after graduation.
