Dr. Midkiff is the director of the Center for Advanced Vehicle Technologies, an interdisciplinary research center that assists in the development of efficient, safe, secure, economical, and user- and environmentally-friendly vehicles.

Dr. Midkiff is also serving as president of UA’s Faculty Senate for 2011-2012.
