UA players earn spot on wheelchair U.S. team

Five University of Alabama wheelchair basketball players will be competing in the upcoming 2007 Parapan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Stephanie Wheeler, a longtime U.S. national team starter from Norlina, N.C., will be joined by Mary Allison Milford of Magnolia, Ark., Alana Nichols of Farmington, N.M., and Desiree Miller of Monroe, Wash., on the U.S. Women’s Wheelchair Team that will be competing in the international event on Aug. 12-19.
