Davidson family gives UA law library documents relating to early Clarke

The Davidson family in May 2007 donated to the John C. Payne Special Collections facility of the Bounds Law Library a collection of materials assembled by Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Davidson Mobley, a 19th century resident of Clarke County…at the Bounds Law Library of the University of Alabama.

Family matters move associate AD to resign

Johnny Williams knows that when the University of Alabama hired him in October 2004, some considered him the likely successor to Athletics Director Mal Moore…But in discussing his decision to step down as the UA senior associate athletics director for external affairs and move into the private sector, Williams said his priorities have changed. Bama-bound students are just fit to be Tide

…Rick Funk, regional recruiter for the university, has been on a whirlwind tour of parties throughout the state, attending five over six days. Andrew Varvoutis, president of the North Shore Tide Alumni chapter, and his wife, Layla, were on hand to greet the newcomers…There are currently 16 students from the north shore attending Alabama.
