The Journey Begins...

May 7, 2009

Welcome to EWB-UA's Vietnam and Cambodia trip blog! The University of Alabama's chapter of Engineers Without Borders will be spending the rest of May in Vietnam and Cambodia doing water assessment and treatment. This trip has been in planning for a while now, but our anticipation and adrenaline for the trip was met Friday with conquering finals week and taking the last of 3 series of shots. Going on this trip is a wonderful crew with fascinating backgrounds.

The crew is as follows: Dr. Philip Johnson, Dr. Joe Brown, Ynhi Thai, Rebecca Macdonald, Marcus Aguilar, Will Black, Billy Clark, Sonja Gregorowicz, Rob Quinney, Andrew Magee, Rebecca Midkiff, and Lissa Petrey. We are mindful of how great of an opportunity this trip is. Oversea travel is interesting in itself, but we are even more fortunate to have a worthwhile mission. It is a great honor to work and learn alongside our professors and peers. Throughout this trip’s blogs we will be keeping you up to date with amazing stories, cultural experiences, accomplishments, discussions, and …blog.
