TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The most recent housing statistics and the Alabama Housing Affordability Index compiled by The University of Alabama’s Center for Real Estate are now posted at the Center’s Web site at http://acre.cba.ua.edu/housing_statistics.php.
The historical statistics are listed by area and presented by month from January 1995 to the present.
The latest posting includes existing housing statistics through July ‘08. The National Association of Realtors releases statistics on sales and prices of existing single-family homes for the nation and the four regions on or about the 25th of each month, and the Alabama numbers are timed to coincide with the national release.
The University of Alabama, a student-centered research university, is in the midst of planned, steady enrollment growth with a goal of reaching 28,000 students by 2010.
