TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- The University of Alabama Crossroads Community Center is hosting a celebration of Scottish culture on Thursday, April 3, at 4 p.m. in the Ferguson Center Crossroads Lounge.
The public is invited to join this interactive celebration of bagpipe music and Scottish culture, where contributions made by Scottish-Americans to the Capstone and nation will be recognized.
The event will feature a bagpipe performance, an opportunity for individuals to read works by their favorite Scottish author and a chance to learn about the study abroad program at UA.
The event is free and refreshments will be served.
The Crossroads Community Center is an initiative of the UA Office of Community Affairs and is under the direction of Dr. Samory Pruitt, UA vice president for community affairs. Crossroads provides campus leadership in the areas of intercultural education and programming by promoting relationships across different cultures through innovative projects and events. Crossroads offers coordination for professional, multicultural dialogue and prepares students to better understand participation in a global society.
