Publishing Symposium to be Held at UA March 9

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- The University of Alabama is presenting an interdisciplinary publishing symposium on March 9 from 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. in the AIME Building on campus.

This symposium is designed for anyone wondering how to publish or simply curious about this changing industry.

There will be discussions on changes in the economy, technology and culture of publishing and participants will have the opportunity to meet and ask questions of industry pioneers and professionals.

Panelists include Will Pearson, the 26-year-old who founded Mental Floss magazine, Francie MacDougall, executive editor of Southern Accents, and Donna Cox, editor of Alabama Heritage magazine.

This event is free and open to the public.
