Film on Blues Guitarist to be Shown at Riverside Center

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Max Shores, director and producer at The University of Alabama Center for Television and Radio, will screen and discuss his documentary “Richard Johnston: Hill Country Troubadour” on Tuesday, March 14 at 6:30 p.m. at the UA Riverside Community Center.

Shores’ documentary focuses on blues guitarist Richard Johnston. His discussion on the documentary will revolve around his experiences with this renowned blues guitarist who captivates audiences on the sidewalk along Beale Street in Memphis.

As a filmmaker, Shores finds stories to tell, travels around shooting pictures and sound, and then edits programs for broadcast on Alabama Public Television, a network of nine stations covering most of the state. He is also a web publisher and he created and updates AlabamaInfo.com and TuscaloosaWeb.com.
