TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- The University Women’s Club is accepting scholarship applications for the Isabella Hummel Graham Scholarship from female students at The University of Alabama.

UA female students are eligible to apply if they are sophomores through graduate students, have a 3.0 grade point average or above, and they demonstrate financial need.

The club’s scholarship committee will determine the number and amount of scholarships given. Previously, five to six scholarships of $800-$1,000 have been awarded each year.

Included with the application form, an applicant must provide a summary sheet stating her need and reasons for receiving a scholarship along with an official or unofficial transcript with her most recent cumulative grade point average. Three reference letters specifically for the scholarship must also be submitted, one of which from a professor who has taught the student within the past academic year in a completed class where a letter grade was received.

The application and all related materials are due by Nov. 5. Recipients are notified before the end of the first semester and the scholarships are presented at the club’s January meeting.
