UA Aging Center Offers Lecture on Assessing Aging Needs Sept. 16

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Dr. Barbara Berkman, the Helen Rehr/Ruth Fizdale Professor of Health and Mental Health at Columbia University and national director of the Hartford Geriatric Social Work Faculty Scholars Program, will present “Research on Gerontological Assessment Revisited: A Personal Odyssey 1966 – 2004” Thursday, Sept. 16 at noon in 104 Little Hall on The University of Alabama campus.

Her lecture is the first of UA’s Center for Mental Health and Aging’s 2004-05 Scientific Seminar Series. The event is free and open to the public.
