TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – On Friday, Oct. 10 at 8 p.m., The University of Alabama department of astronomy will host a viewing of Mars and the full moon.

Dr. Jack Sulentic, professor of astronomy, will give a brief lecture before taking participants to the roof of Gallalee Hall to look through the refracting telescope in the dome.

UA’s department of physics and astronomy is housed in the College of Arts and Sciences, the University’s largest division and the largest public liberal arts college in the state, with approximately 5,500 undergraduates and 1,000 graduate students.
