UA Senior Elected 2015 Homecoming Queen

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Katelyn Katsafanas, a senior majoring in finance from Naperville, Illinois, was announced as The University of Alabama’s 2015 Homecoming Queen at the bonfire and pep rally Friday, Oct. 9, on the UA Quad.

Phi Mu sponsored her. Her accomplishments include president of Capstone Men & Women, the official ambassadors of UA; co-coordinator of the UA Awareness Walk: Order of Omega’s Most Outstanding Sophomore & Junior; and vice president of ODK Senior Honorary Society.

More than 13,300 votes were cast in this year’s Homecoming Queen election Oct. 6. Students voted online.

The queen will be crowned at halftime of the homecoming football game between UA and Arkansas. The game begins at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, in Bryant-Denny Stadium.
