TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – John Paul Stevens, retired associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, will visit The University of Alabama School of Law Wednesday, Nov. 16, to present the fall Albritton Lecture.

The event is open to the public. The lecture begins at 3:30 p.m. in the McMillan Lecture Hall (Room 287/288). Doors open at 2:30 p.m.

No registration is required, but purses, bags, laptops, umbrellas or large jackets are not allowed in the lecture hall.

Stevens’ visit coincides with recent media coverage about the former justice, who recently released the book “Five Chiefs: A Supreme Court Memoir.” In the book, Stevens chronicles his history with the court and focuses on his personal relationship with the five chief justices with whom he worked.
