TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama Men’s Wheelchair Basketball Team will play an exhibition game against members of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity on Thursday, Oct. 20, at 7 p.m. in the Student Recreation Center.

Josh Derby, one of the wheelchair basketball team leaders, organized the game. He hopes the exhibition will become an annual event and include additional fraternities each year.

“Year in and year out, the Alabama wheelchair team is one of the nation’s best,” said Derby. “We look forward to seeing members of the UA Greek system roll around with us and introduce our program to a wider audience.”

Admission to the exhibition game is $5. Individual and group tickets may be purchased at the door. Proceeds from the event will benefit the team.

The UA men’s team made it to the final four in last season’s national tournament.

Go to the UA Wheelchair Athletics website at www.uads.ua.edu to view their full schedule.

Members of the University Greek system can earn Panhellenic Points by attending the event.
