Students Select Five Seniors for UA Homecoming Court

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The 2011 University of Alabama Homecoming Court was chosen in a general student election held Tuesday, Oct. 4, on campus.
The following students were selected as members of the 2011 UA Homecoming Court:
Erika Baranek of Gloucester, Va., a communication studies major sponsored by the Student Athlete Advisory Committee
Coresa Nancy Hogan of Birmingham, a marketing major sponsored by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority
Fernanda Lima of Douglasville, Ga., an accounting major sponsored by the University Honors Program
Emily McLaughlin of Montgomery, a nursing major sponsored by Phi Mu Sorority
Mary Talley of Orlando, Fla., an interior design major sponsored by Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority

The 2011 UA Homecoming Queen will be announced Friday, Oct. 7, during a pep rally on the Quad beginning at 7 p.m. The queen will be crowned at halftime of the homecoming football game between Alabama and Vanderbilt Saturday, Oct. 8, at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Some 8,245 votes were cast in this year’s election; voting was done online through student myBama accounts.
