Meeting to be Held for Miss UA Contestants

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Miss University of Alabama program committee will host a candidate interest meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. in Alumni Hall.
Prospective contestants will receive application information for the 2012 pageant scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 18, at the Bama Theater.
Application deadline for contestants is Monday, Dec. 5.
The Miss University of Alabama program is sponsored by the UA National Alumni Association and is a preliminary competition open to all female, full-time students at the Tuscaloosa campus.
The pageant is an official preliminary pageant for the Miss Alabama and Miss America programs. The student named 2012 Miss UA will receive a one-year full-tuition scholarship, two book scholarships, and numerous other gifts for her year of service to the University.
