TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Students at The University of Alabama have the opportunity to learn more about various organizations on campus during Get on Board day, Wednesday, Aug. 31, at the Ferguson Plaza from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Get on Board day, the student organization fair sponsored by The SOURCE, is designed to get students involved in some of the 350 campus organizations. The event offers a “one-stop shop” for exploring what the organizations have to offer.
Held each fall, the event draws numerous students and faculty members to learn about the range of campus groups. From the wide variety, students can seek out organizations that interest them most. Participating organizations range from the academic and departmental groups to recreational organizations. The event will also feature local vendors.
The SOURCE is designed to provide resources and support for registered student organizations at UA, and it also serves as the place for students to learn how to get involved with the campus groups.
The University of Alabama, a student-centered research university, is experiencing significant growth in both enrollment and academic quality. This growth, which is positively impacting the campus and the state's economy, is in keeping with UA's vision to be the university of choice for the best and brightest students. UA, the state's flagship university, is an academic community united in its commitment to enhancing the quality of life for all Alabamians.
