Up ‘til Dawn Event at UA Helps Fight Childhood Cancer

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – University of Alabama students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in the Up ‘til Dawn event on Nov. 16 at 6 p.m. in the Ferguson Center Ballroom to support St. Jude Children’s Hospital and the fight against childhood cancer.

Volunteers will have the chance to write letters to potential donors to raise funds for the research hospital. Participants will also be eligible for prizes based on the number of letters completed.

Each person who writes 10 letters will be able to take part in the finale event featuring music, games and speakers. Those who write 25 or more letters will be eligible for prizes including an iPod, gift cards and scholarships. Dinner and T-shirts will be provided to participants.

Those planning to attend should e-mail utd@ua.edu to RSVP and are asked to bring addresses of friends and family.
