Area High School Students Invited to Attend UA’s Creative Writing Camp

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama English department invites area high school students to attend the summer 2010 Creative Writing Camp on weekdays, June 14-25, from 1-4 p.m. in 301 Morgan Hall.

The instructors, published writers and UA graduate students, will lead an exploration of creative writing under the direction of Robin Behn, UA professor and poet. Students will have the opportunity to experiment with different forms of writing, create their own publication and give a public reading.

There is no deadline for registration and students can sign up until the camp begins. Previous writing experience is not required for the free program and parking is also included at no charge.
