UA Student from Gadsden Receives National Accolade

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Laura E. Peters, a senior at The University of Alabama from Gadsden, was recently recognized by the Susan B. Anthony List as one of their Young Outstanding Pro-Life Leaders.

Peters currently serves as the statewide leader of Alabama Students for Life.  She coordinated the first statewide collegiate pro-life conference in April 2009 and she assisted in the coordination of Tuscaloosa’s first 40 Days for Life campaign. She also participated in Students for Life of America’s Missionaries for Life summer internship program in 2009.

Peters is a student in the UA College of Arts and Sciences.
