UA School of Social Work Announces New Director of Advancement

Deidra Lloyd has been named director of advancement for the School of Social Work at The University of Alabama. In this position, Lloyd will lead the school’s fundraising efforts by cultivating, soliciting and stewarding donors.
“We are pleased to have Deidra as part of our team in Social Work. As we achieve our fundraising goals, we look forward to building new partnerships through her leadership,” said Dr. James A. Hall, dean of the School of Social Work.
Lloyd comes to UA most recently from Cox Radio, where she was a senior account manager. She holds a master’s degree in communication management from The University of Alabama at Birmingham and a bachelor’s degree in speech communication from UA.
