Alabama is no stranger to the Rose Bowl

…”it put Alabama on the map.” Clark Center, a University of Alabama archivist and curator of Southern History, says Alabama playing and winning the Rose Bowl changed the mindset of Southerners and opinions others around the country had about the south. “It was not a very attractive place to the rest of the country.”
