UA Students Select Five Seniors for Homecoming Court

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The 2009 University of Alabama Homecoming Court was chosen in a general student election held Tuesday, Oct. 13, on campus.

The following students, all seniors, were selected to be members of the 2009 UA Homecoming Court:

Morgan Dennis, a psychology major from Westhampton, N.J.

Brandi Freeman, a metallurgical engineering major from Tuscaloosa

Sarah Gieger, an accounting major from Birmingham

Meg Greer, a dance major from LaGrange, Ga.

Hayley Ray McNeill, a musical theater and business law major from Houston, Texas

The 2009 UA Homecoming Queen will be announced Friday, Oct. 16, during a pep rally on the Quad beginning at 7 p.m. The queen will be crowned at halftime of the homecoming football game between Alabama and South Carolina on Saturday, Oct. 17, at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Some 8,566 votes were cast in this year’s election; voting was done online through student myBama accounts.
