‘Dance Alabama!’ Returns for Fall Performance

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama’s department of theatre and dance presents “Dance Alabama!” from Tuesday, Oct. 13, to Friday, Oct. 16, in Morgan Auditorium on Stadium Drive in the UA Theatre District.

Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday with a 5:30 p.m. performance Friday. Tickets can be bought at the UA box office in Rowand-Johnson Hall from noon to 5 p.m., or by phoning 205/348-3400.

“Dance Alabama!” continues a dazzling tradition of eclectic dance styles and music. The performance showcases student choreography at its best. Mentored by the renowned UA dance faculty under the direction of Cornelius Carter, these dancers and choreographers captivate audiences of all ages, bringing people together in a celebration of life and energy.

UA’s theatre and dance department is part of the College of Arts and Sciences, the University’s largest division and the largest liberal arts college in the state. Students from the College have won numerous national awards including Rhodes Scholarships, Goldwater Scholarships and memberships on the USA Today Academic All American Team.
