The conference, which includes both oral and poster presentations by students, is scheduled from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. in UA’s Ferguson Center. Students, mentored by faculty, will vie for cash prizes and other awards in the event. The event is designed to give undergraduates additional practical experience in original research and creative activities.

The conference is a collaborative effort between individual colleges at UA and the Office of Research, the Graduate School and the Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities Committee.

This is the second year for a University-wide undergraduate research conference, and participation has increased more than 80 percent from last year.
