UA’s Entrepreneurship Institute to Host Elevator Pitch, Business Plan Competition Next Fall

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama Entrepreneurship Institute at The University of Alabama’s Culverhouse College of Commerce will host its first Alabama Elevator Pitch and Business Plan Competition next fall.

Participants will have the chance to pitch business ideas to a panel of venture capitalists, angel investors and successful entrepreneurs, gaining feedback and an opportunity to win prize money totaling $5,000.

The competition is open to all college and university students throughout Alabama. The first round of submissions is due Oct. 1. The final round of the competition is at The University of Alabama Nov. 14. Organizers of the event plan to hold it annually.
