Commemorative Event at UA Recognizes Darwin’s Work, Birthday

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama Rodgers Library for Science and Engineering is presenting a program on Thursday, Feb. 12 at 2 p.m. to commemorate Charles Darwin’darwins 200th birthday and the 150th anniversary of his major work “On the Origin of Species.”

Dr. Daniel Graf of UA’s department of biological sciences will be presenting a short speech about Darwin. Following Graf’s presentation, birthday cake and punch will be served.

The birthday celebration is open to the public.
