Birmingham gas price decline expected to persist despite bump

…The fall in crude underscores how the world’s economic downturn has lowered gasoline consumption, said Peter Clark, a University of Alabama professor of chemical engineering who follows the energy markets. “Many skeptics don’t expect OPEC members like Venezuela and Iran, whose economies depend so much on selling oil to stick to their pledges to cut back production,” Clark said.
