UA Campus to Open Nov. 28 for Iron Bowl Fans

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – UA Gameday officials have announced that The University of Alabama campus will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 27 for the Thanksgiving holiday.
For fans planning to attend this year’s Iron Bowl, the reservation only, on-campus RV lots will open at 8 a.m. Friday, Nov. 28 and tailgaters can start to set up their tents on the Quad and other areas of the campus at noon on Friday, Nov. 28. The free RV lot in the University Mall/Northington Elementary area will open at 8 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 27.
These times are earlier than other gameday set-up times to accommodate the excitement surrounding the Iron Bowl activities on Saturday, Nov. 29.
Gameday officials ask that fans respect these set-up times so that UA staff can enjoy Thursday’s Thanksgiving festivities with their families and friends.
