TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama Women’s Resource Center and the Social Work Association for Cultural Awareness are sponsoring the second annual Breast Cancer Tree of Honor and Remembrance as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month events on campus.
The Breast Cancer Tree of Honor and Remembrance will be located inside the lobby of the Ferguson Center throughout the month. The Tree of Honor and Remembrance honors survivors of breast cancer and remembers individuals who lost their lives because of the disease.
Students, faculty, staff and community members are invited to write messages on pink ribbon cut outs to remember those who have lost their lives and also to honor survivors of the disease. Pink ribbon ornaments will also be available for UA employees to personalize at the UA Employee Health Fair on Oct. 22.
