September Housing Stats Now Available on UA Real Estate Center Web Site

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The September 2008 monthly housing statistics compiled by the Alabama Center for Real Estate at The University of Alabama are now available on the Web site http://acre.cba.ua.edu/housing_report.php.
The Web site also provides a narrative written by Grayson M. Glaze, executive director of UA’s Alabama Center for Real Estate, which breaks down and analyzes the statistics. Home sales in Alabama in September were down 6.4 percent from August and down 12.2 percent from the same month last year.
The historical statistics are broken down by 23 areas and presented by month from January 1995.
