Get on Board Day Helps Connect UA Students to Campus Life

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Students at The University of Alabama have the opportunity to learn more about the various student organizations on campus during the fall 2008 Get on Board Day Wednesday, Aug. 27 on the Quad from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Get on Board Day, the student organization fair sponsored by the UA Coordinating Council for Student Organizations, is designed to get students involved in some of the 275 campus organizations. Students have the opportunity to walk the Quad to learn about each group and meet students already involved in the organizations.

Held each fall and spring, the event draws numerous students and faculty members to learn about the range of campus groups. From the wide variety, students can seek out organizations that interest them most. Participating organizations range from the academic and departmental groups to recreational organizations. The event will also feature some local vendors.
