Work of UA Film Students to be Showcased at Coffee Shop Cinema Film Festival

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Film students at The University of Alabama will have an opportunity to showcase their short films at the UA Creative Campus Coffee Shop Cinema Film Festival set for March 1-3.
UA student filmmakers will show their films on March 1 at 7 p.m. in the Ferguson Center Starbucks and on March 2 at 7 p.m. at Crimson Café on University Boulevard.
Eligible films will be no longer than 30 minutes and fall into the categories of experimental, documentary, narrative, PSA/commercial and music video. UA Creative Campus interns will judge the films and select a winner in each category. The winners will be shown on March 3 at 7 p.m. in Capture Café.
Omicron Delta Kappa honor society is sponsoring an opening reception for the event in the Ferguson Center on March 1 at 6:30 p.m.
The reception and the film festival are free and open to the public.
Submissions for the film festival will be accepted until Friday, Feb. 23 at 5 p.m. All students and faculty are encouraged to apply.
