UA to Announce National Merit Ranking and Honor National Scholars at Wednesday Event

University of Alabama President Robert E. Witt will speak during a reception honoring UA’s National Merit, National Achievement and National Hispanic Scholars Wednesday, Jan. 31 from 2-3 p.m. at The Zone in Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Witt will present new information on UA’s ranking as a leader among universities nationwide in attracting National Merit and National Achievement Scholars.
Some of the 475 National Scholars currently on campus will be available to talk with media.
