Tuscaloosa Student Named 2007 Miss UA

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Stephanie Shelton of Tuscaloosa has been named the 2007 Miss University of Alabama.

Shelton is a junior at UA majoring in music performance and minoring in general business administration. Her platform will be “Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention.”

Shelton, the daughter of Steve and Sue Shelton of Tuscaloosa, will represent the University at the Miss Alabama Pageant at Samford University in June. The Miss UA Program is sponsored by the UA National Alumni Association.

The University of Alabama, a student-centered research university, is experiencing significant growth in both enrollment and academic quality.
