2006 Homecoming Court Announced at UA

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The 2006 University of Alabama Homecoming Court was selected in a general student election on Tuesday, Oct. 24.

The following students were chosen to be members of the 2006 UA Homecoming Court:

Whitney Bailey, a senior from Fordyce, Ark., majoring in nursing

Lauren Burch, a senior from Fairfield, Conn., majoring in marketing

Kori Mosakowski, a senior from Weaver majoring in studio art

Melinda Thomason, a senior from Madison majoring in interior design

Sheree Woods, a senior from Florence majoring in dance and communicative disorders

The UA Homecoming Queen will be announced Friday, Oct. 27 during a pep rally beginning at 7 p.m. on the UA Quad. The queen will be crowned during halftime of the homecoming football game between Alabama and Florida International on Saturday, Oct. 28 at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Some 3,838 UA students voted in this year’s election held in the Ferguson Student Center.
