UA Student Awarded Advertising Scholarship

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Andrea Seabol, a University of Alabama student from Florence, has been selected as recipient of a $1,500 scholarship from the Alabama Advertising Education Foundation.

Seabol is a senior majoring in advertising at UA. In addition to maintaining nearly a straight A average, Seabol has studied mass communication, theater and cinema in Ireland. She interned for Intermark Group, a Birmingham advertising agency, in the summer of 2005 and is currently interning at one of the nation’s largest advertising agencies, BBDO in Atlanta.

Seabol is also a member of the UA student advertising federation and has been elected to several academic honor societies.

AAEF is a nonprofit organization whose primary goal is to aid advertising students at Alabama colleges and universities. AAEF has awarded almost $20,000 in scholarships and other student assistance. The applications were judged by a committee of members representing Alabama’s advertising federations.
