The University of Alabama Safe State program recently presented a certificate of appreciation to Hunt Refining Co. for continued commitment to occupational safety and health training in Alabama. Hunt Refining has sponsored the 10-hour OSHA General Industry Course and has trained some 60 people from 50 companies. Shown in the photo are (L-R): Bobby Freeman, Hunt Refining director of safety; Joe Giglotto, Hunt Refining senior vice president, supply, operations and marketing; Dr. Bill Weems, director of UA Safe State; Bill Elrod, director of advancement and college relations in the UA College of Continuing Studies; and, Larry Nolen, assistant director, training and conference activities, department of environmental and industrial programs.
