Ray Named UA NAA Vice President

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Donny B. Ray of Oneonta has been named vice president of District 16 for The University of Alabama National Alumni Association.
Ray, a 1983 graduate of UA with a degree in economics and marketing, is revenue commissioner of Blount County. Since graduation, he has been highly involved with the UA Alumni Association serving as chapter treasurer. Ray is also a member of the Oneonta Jaycees, Kiwanis Club, Chamber of Commerce, Alabama Tax Administration Association, a youth baseball coach and Oneonta Athletic Booster Club treasurer.
Ray lives in Oneonta with his wife, Kristie, and son, Justin, 17.
The UA National Alumni Association is divided into 16 districts within Alabama and six regions outside the state. Each is represented by a vice president who serves on the NAA Executive Committee and makes decisions concerning the organization and funding of a variety of programs and events to benefit alumni, students and the University. The National Alumni Association supports UA through the combined efforts of its volunteer leadership, the alumni staff and more than 29,000 active members.
