TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama Office of Student Development has implemented a new toll-free telephone number for individuals to call and get questions answered regarding off-campus life in Tuscaloosa.

The toll-free number is 1-888-768-2766 or locally at 205/348-7107. Someone will be on hand 40 hours a week to answer questions and the option to leave messages is available other times.

The goal of this project is to be a tremendous resource to parents, prospective students and current students who may need information on places in the Tuscaloosa area. The toll-free number is staffed by students who are available to answer questions about Tuscaloosa housing options, local transportation, utility deposits, safety, local laws and ordinances and much more.

For more information, contact Dr. Tim Hebson, UA associate dean of students, at 205/348-8237.
