The 2006 Miss University of Alabama competition will be Saturday, Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. in Morgan Hall. Sponsored by the UA Alumni Association, the program is an official preliminary competition leading to the Miss Alabama and Miss America Pageants. Contestants will compete in categories of evening wear, swimsuit/physical fitness, talent, casual wear, on-stage questions and private interview. The winner will represent UA at the 2006 Miss Alabama Pageant in June in Birmingham. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at the door the night of the program.
