Time to Get Active in UA New Student Challenge Aug. 29

climbing_72TUSCALOOSA, Ala — The University of Alabama is holding an event to help new students get active with the 2005 New Student Challenge, Monday, Aug. 29, from 4:30-8:30 p.m. at the UA Student Recreation Center fields and outdoor pool complex.

This event is for new UA students including freshmen, transfer, graduate and international students. Students will participate in physically active events including the obstacle course, bungee run, sticky wall, basketball, catch-a-wave and twin spin.

Free food will be provided. A live remote broadcast by 1420 The Tusk will feature music by DJ HuffDaddy.

The UA New Student Challenge is sponsored by the Office of Student Affairs, Jimmy Johns, Coca-Cola, Army ROTC and Bama Dining.
