West Named UA NAA Vice President

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Eric West of Huntsville has been named vice president of District XV for The University of Alabama National Alumni Association.

West, a 1982 graduate a UA with a degree in business, now works as a sales representative for Sherwin Williams Co. Since graduating, West has served the Alumni Association as a board member, chair of party activities and Madison County Chapter president.

West is also involved in his community by his membership in the Huntsville Chapter of Construction Specification Institute, serving as CSI president from 1999-2000, and being the hospitality chair at Cove United Methodist Church.

West, and his wife, Joy, have two children: Erica Nicole, 16, and Marisa Joy, 13.

The National Alumni Association is divided into 16 districts within Alabama and six regions outside the state. Each is represented by a vice president who serves on the NAA Executive Committee and makes decisions concerning the organization and funding of a variety of programs and events to benefit alumni, students and the University. The National Alumni Association supports UA through the combined efforts of its volunteer leadership, the alumni staff and more than 28,000 active members.
