Eastman Named UA NAA Vice President

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Christopher Michael Eastman of Muscle Shoals has been named vice president of District I for The University of Alabama National Alumni Association.

Eastman, a senior project engineer for 3M, graduated from UA in 1995 with a degree in mechanical engineering. Since that time, he has volunteered as the Colbert County Chapter vice president of the UA Alumni Association and was the chairman of the annual golf tournament.

Eastman is also involved with the First United Methodist Church in Tuscumbia, a member of the Colbert County PTA, Relay-for-Life team member, coaches little league baseball, soccer and basketball and serves as treasurer of the Family Builders Sunday School.

He and his wife, Lori, have two children: Wheeler, 5, and Anna Katherine, 2.

The National Alumni Association is divided into 16 districts within Alabama and six regions outside the state. Each is represented by a vice president who serves on the NAA Executive Committee and makes decisions concerning the organization and funding of a variety of programs and events to benefit alumni, students and the University. The National Alumni Association supports UA through the combined efforts of its volunteer leadership, the alumni staff and more than 28,000 active members.
