Cockrell Named UA NAA Vice President

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Lucinda Cockrell of Livingston has been named vice president of District VII for The University of Alabama National Alumni Association.

Cockrell, a 1995 graduate of UA with a master’s degree in business administration, serves as the county administrator in Livingston.

Harris is also involved with the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants, Alabama Association of County Clerks and Administrators, Sumter County Trust for the Future and Alpha Kappa Kappa Sorority Inc.

Cockrell has two children: Danielle Cockrell Eppes and Michelle Cockrell Byrd.

The National Alumni Association is divided into 16 districts within Alabama and six regions outside the state. Each is represented by a vice president who serves on the NAA Executive Committee and makes decisions concerning the organization and funding of a variety of programs and events to benefit alumni, students and the University. The National Alumni Association supports UA through the combined efforts of its volunteer leadership, the alumni staff and more than 28,000 active members.
