Anniston Area Students Receive UA Scholarships

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Andrew L. Bowman, Laura Beth Amerson, Andrew Justin Huddleston, and Alison J. Miller were recently named the recipients of The University of Alabama’s Ashley Doyle and John Gaither Endowed Scholarship.

Bowman, a sophomore from Heflin, was a first time recipient of this award. Amerson, a junior from Anniston; Huddleston, a junior from Oxford; and Miller, a senior from Anniston were all awarded renewals of this scholarship.

The $600-per-year renewable scholarship is awarded to full-time undergraduate students maintaining a minimum 3.0 (B) grade point average who are returning to the University as sophomores and whose county of origin is Calhoun or Cleburne.
